The Service Oriented Infrastructure NESSI Working Group (SOI-NWG) is a key contributor to the Service Oriented Infrastructure section of NESSI's Strategic Research Agenda. With new volumes due out this year, the working group is organising this one-day meeting as a key opportunity to contribute to NESSI's SRA, at a time where the advances of NESSI have led to the elaboration of the NESSI Open Service Framework, also know as NEXOF. In parallel, the Grid collaboration activities related to TG1 Grid architecture, that are now coordinated through NESSI-GRID and the NESSI's SOI Working Group, were discussed at this meeting.

The event was held in Brussels (NESSI Office) and participation was open to anyone (meeting invitation).

The objetives of the meeting were to:

• Contribute to the scenarios, research challenges and roadmap of business grids that will be provided as input to the next volume of NESSI's SRA (morning session)
• Continue with the activities of TG1
  • Contributions from research projects in the Grids area, with particular emphasis on the Call 5 projects
  • Involvement of the projects selected under Software and Services
  • Revision of the White Paper previously produced by TG1
  • Agreeing on plans for future activities
  • Contribution to the concertation meeting that will take place on 26-27 September 2007
