This WIKI supports major collaborative activities under development in the context of the Service Oriented Infrastructure NESSI Working Group (web page and Manifesto). Participation in these activities is open to any individual with relevant expertise in service oriented infrastructures. You are invited to subscribe to the SOI-NWG mailing list and to register to this WIKI and so collaborate in the edition of its contents (current list of members).
We have created a new section describing the relations of SOI-NWG with NESSI, NESSI-Grid, NESSI-Soft and TG1. You can also download the NESSI-Grid White Paper "A community-driven Vision on Business Grids Turning Grids into a backbone for Arbitrary Business Applications".
The third version of the NESSI-Grid Strategic Research Agenda is available for download. The main goal of version 3 of this SRA is to provide a detailed roadmap analysis for the identified research challenges, including recommendations for researchers, industry and policy makers about the relevance and timeline of the identified research challenges. This version was made subject to a broad community review process. The community involvement process was extensive and rather successful.

| The Grid Architecture Technical Working Group (TG1) focuses on architectural challenges from the FP5, FP6 and FP7 EU projects, gathering the requirements, from an architectural point of view, and investigating the transition from the Now-Grid to the Next Generation Grids. This collaborative space supports the coordination of TG1. |
| Liaison with Standardization and OSS Communities |

| The use of standards already available when implementing new architectures, as well as the creation of new standards to facilitate horizontal markets are principles that Grid would target. On the other hand, open source communities are expected to play a relevant role in consolidation of these standards. This collaborative space supports the liaison of SOI-NWG with standardization bodies and open source communities. |
