The consultation process is finished
The Service Oriented Infrastructure NESSI Working Group (SOI-NWG) is defining the NESSI Strategic Research Agenda on new generation of ICT infrastructures. In this context, Business Grids are envisioned as the adaptive service-oriented utility infrastructure for business applications, which will become the general ICT backbone in future service oriented economies.
Version 2.0 of the SRA, released in November 2007, was made subject to a broad community review process which resulted in several extensions of the identified requirements and challenges. The main goal of version 3 of this SRA is to provide a detailed roadmap analysis for the identified research challenges, including recommendations for researchers, industry and policy makers about the relevance and timeline of the identified research challenges.
This section describes the open process of consultation to collect inputs from individual experts to the first draft (v2.5 [DOC] [PDF]) of NESSI-Grid SRA v3.0.
The aims of the consultation are:
The NESSI-Grid project is a Specific Support Action (SSA) launched at FP6 to support activities of the SOI NWG, with a special focus on providing the necessary support to structure and develop the NESSI-Grid SRA document, as contribution to the NESSI SRA in the specific area of ITC infrastructures and Grids. The benefits of contributing to the European Roadmap for Business Grids are:
Contribution to SRA v3.0 is open to any individual with relevant experience in the business grid area, i.e., it is not restricted to NESSI members. In fact its promotion to any valuable player is one of the aims of the community involvement activity. All stakeholders in this field are invited to participate in order get a precise understanding about envisioned scenarios, state-of-the-art, challenges, business impact and actual roadmaps and recommendations for realizing the vision.
