====== Community Process in SRA v3.0 ====== **The consultation process is finished** The Service Oriented Infrastructure NESSI Working Group (SOI-NWG) is defining the NESSI Strategic Research Agenda on new generation of ICT infrastructures. In this context, Business Grids are envisioned as the adaptive service-oriented utility infrastructure for business applications, which will become the general ICT backbone in future service oriented economies. Version 2.0 of the SRA, released in November 2007, was made subject to a broad community review process which resulted in several extensions of the identified requirements and challenges. The main goal of version 3 of this SRA is to provide a **detailed roadmap analysis for the identified research challenges, including recommendations for researchers, industry and policy makers about the relevance and timeline of the identified research challenges**. This section describes the open process of consultation to collect inputs from individual experts to the first draft (v2.5 [] []) of NESSI-Grid SRA v3.0. ====== What is the Aim of the Process? ====== The aims of the consultation are: * To provide an open and public instrument to **collect comments and change proposals to the SRA**. * To evaluate the **expected impact on the European Economy and the adoption timeline of the business scenarios**. * To obtain qualitative values for the proposed business indicators in order to have a rough **snapshot of the current use of Grid technologies in business environments**. * To evaluate the perceived **complexity, relevance and urgency to meet the Business Scenarios requirements of the research challenges**. ====== What is in it for you? ====== The NESSI-Grid project is a Specific Support Action (SSA) launched at FP6 to support activities of the SOI NWG, with a special focus on providing the necessary support to structure and develop the NESSI-Grid SRA document, as contribution to the NESSI SRA in the specific area of ITC infrastructures and Grids.
